Massachusetts Double-Fraud in Viatical Scheme

Summary: The U.S. Attorney' s office and the Special Agent in Charge of the Boston Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation charged Darrin J. Stafford, 34, of Gardner, Massachusetts with multiple counts of mail fraud and money laundering in connection with a double viatical investment fraud scheme, which resulted in Stafford obtaining at least $550,000.
