Florida-licensed Viatical
Providers
(This list does not include licensed
brokers)
Very
important:
Unlike most states, Florida considers
the "viator" to be
the owner of a life insurance policy (or a certificate holder under a group policy)
who enters or seeks to enter into a viatical settlement contract.
The effect of this
modified definition is that previous terms of "senior" or
"life" settlements are now included in the term "viatical" settlements
and subject to the Viatical Settlements Act.

Investors should get at least three reports from different life expectancy
providers. Directions about applying these are in the new
Viatical & Life Settlements: An Investor's Guide.
