Order Books

About Shipping

We ship books within twenty-four hours of processing your credit card. Our preferred method is USPS Priority Mail (or USPS Global Priority Mail for international orders).

If you prefer you may designate Book Rate, which is much less expensive but delivery takes longer. Or you may designate Federal Express, which is quicker but more expensive. If you choose an alternative, the difference in cost will be deducted or added before charging your credit card.

Use the message area on the order form to notify us if you want an alternative to the shipping method.

About Returns

Books may be returned for replacement if they are damaged in shipping.

Refunds

We do not provide refunds. If you are uncertain about buying a book, borrow a copy from the library. If your local library does not have a copy, they will borrow from another library or order a copy. There has never been a problem getting a library to order these books since they are unique: There is no competition.

About Bookstores

Although we no longer make books available through retail bookstores, they may be ordered from land or online bookstores. Bookstores place this as a Special Order to the publisher, Bialkin Books. There is no additional charge for ordering through bookstores.

We are not providing them with inventory because they demand huge discounts (e.g., amazon.com demands 55 percent), we pay shipping costs to them and, if books are damaged (as in a coffee shop at a land bookstore), the books are returned to us--and we pay shipping. Bookstores also demand inventory on consignment.

We hope you understand. It is too difficult to do business with a system that allows for little profit after so much work and up-front expense.
